Thus far we haven’t mentioned a lot about Tableau Public on this blog but today’s game changing upgrade more than deserves its own post and hopefully many more to come.
The first in a series of posts helping excel users understand Tableau functionality in Excel terms. This posts describes the recreation of a pivot table in Excel, and will be followed by more on conditional formatting, vlookups and more.
An attempt using the new filled map mark type in Tableau v7 to create a map of countries scaled by any measure. A good first attempt but still some room for improvement.
We all know how great Tableau is at visualising complex data, however there are certain times when just want a simple grouped table, usually to become a filter on a dashboard. Tableau’s Index function allows us to do exactly that and a whole lot more.
Tableau Version 7 is coming soon - but how do you go about getting your hands on it? And what should you worry about as you upgrade?
